I love the flavour of sesame in any form be it sambhar, idly podi or Sesame rice. This thogayal is very easy to make and makes an excellent pair with Ulutham pongal and lemon rice. After a long tiring trip I wanted to start blogging with a simple post and this thogayal helped it too :). Sharing my simple recipe and hope it helps !!

Method
1.
In pan add oil and saute urad dal along with hing, garlic
flakes, red chilies and curry leaves for few minutes till nice aroma comes.
Transfer the contents to another plate and add sesame seeds to the hot pan.
Dry roast for just a minute and when they splutter well switch off the flame.
2.
Cool down sesame seeds separately. First grind the dal ,

Notes
·
If you don't like garlic flavour use few
spoons of grated coconut instead. Similarly you can skip curry leaves if they
are not available.
·
Adjust number of garlic according to their
size. Similarly adjust chili as per your spice level.
·
Roasting sesame seeds in hot pan ensures they
are roasted fast and evenly. Hence I do this way.
